The new Group Chief Executive Officer for the NAB has made contact with the bank’s customers explaining how the bank is continuing to support its customers.
Andrew Irvine has been appointed NAB Group Chief Executive Officer, replacing Ross McEwan.
In a message to customers, Mr Irvine said he was proud to continue the work of the bank over the last 160 years and acknowledged his responsibility to customers, as well as his 38,000 colleagues.
“During more than 20 years in banking I’ve learned that delivering the best experience for customers should be at the heart of why we come to work each day,” Mr Irvine said.
“To achieve this, everyone at NAB is focused on continuing to modernise our bank and become simpler and better.
“We also want to help our communities prosper.”
Mr Irvine claimed relationships are at the core of NAB.
“I have seen the importance of this when meeting and listening to customers and colleagues right across Australia since joining the bank in 2021,” he said.
“There are some areas we are doing well and some where we need to improve.
“I will continue to listen to your feedback and take action to make this bank better.”
This week NAB has closed its Pittsworth branch for good while at Clifton residents and businesses are still not happy with the closure of the NAB branch there, twelve months ago.
