Well known Summernats competitors Jake Myers, Amy Myers, Deby and Gary Myers and their team raised $4500.80 for the Neuroblastoma Foundation at this year’s Summernats car festival in Canberra ACT.
Jake Myers owns the famous S1CKO 1966 Mustang which he had white vinyl wrapped for his wedding back in October 2024 and decided after the wedding to leave the white on and let people sign it at Summernats with a twist.
He came across a deserving family through the car scene that are affected by neuroblastoma – Little Frankie – for whom they raised $4,500.80 in one and a half days.
The Myers team sold 95 per cent of their merchandise and raised nearly a half grand for the Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Foundation.
“Getting everyone involved signing the wedding white wrap for a good cause, then on to Smoking out Tuff Streeters Skidrow, we were then ready for the Pro Series Qualifying on day two. Going in to day 3 in the pro series Grand Final Top 10 we decided to throw the limiter chip out the window and sending it with everything we had.
“Sadly the passenger rear tyre had other plans and gave up at 30 seconds costing us tremendously in smoke scores, but that’s the game we play. We ended up taking home fourth place and a Pro Burnouts ticket for Summernats 38.”
Jake said the team were planning on taking it easy this year but decided life is shortso they locked in for another massive year travelling Australia.
“Next stop is the Kandos Street Machine & Hot Rod Show – never been before and have always wanted to go – and then we are onto Burnout Masters at Sydney Dragway the weekend after on February 1.”
Jake thanked Andy Lopez and their entire Summernats Team for putting on one of the best Summernats he had been to in a very long time.
