Neil Scriven from Scriven Exploration Pty Ltd is again sponsoring Barkly Region Sport Education swimming and water safety program.

Neil’s company, Scriven Exploration Pty Ltd, which explores for minerals north of Tennant Creek, recognises the importance of water safety in remote communities.

It is therefore very happy to support swimming and water safety programs in the Barkly Region, as part of its commitment to community development and safety.

This is the second time Scriven Exploration has sponsored the Barkly Region Sport Education.

This sponsorship has enabled students from remote communities to undertake swimming and water safety lessons, equipping them with life-saving skills.

It also allows them to participate in the annual Barkly Region Inter-school Swimming Carnival, fostering a sense of community and healthy competition.

With the deluge of rain recently throughout the Barkly Region the important water safety lessons learnt by our remote students over the last two years may possibly save lives.

The Barkly schools extend their heartfelt thanks to Mr Scriven for his generous donation.

His support has made a significant difference in our community, and we are eagerly looking forward to participating in the Barkly Region inter-school swimming carnival and swimming and water safety programs in 2024 and 2025.
