Dillon leaves a visual lasting legacy

Little did Pam Dillon know when she accepted a six-month contract to come to Tennant Creek that it would develop into a 10-year passion for delivering sports education to communities and schools in the Barkly.

Very regretfully, she has decided that it is time for her to return home to Queensland, but while she has been preparing for her departure, Pam has been looking through the thousands of photos that she has taken of the students she has worked with over the years.

This led Pam to come up with an idea. From all the photographs she had, she selected some from each of the communities she had visited and had a book printed.

Though only a small print run, she has presented a copy to each of the schools so that in the future, her former students will be able to look back and remember all the fun that Dillon brought during her visits to their community.

One copy has also been presented to the Tennant Creek Library for their archive.

Pam’s relocation will leave a gap in Sports Education that will be hard to fill, but her book will definitely be something her students can remember her by
