Stakeholders tour youth centre a week ahead of soft launch

Recent stories

Local stakeholders were invited for a tour of the Tennant Creek Youth Centre a week ahead of its soft opening next Friday.

Literacy for Life, Barkly Regional Arts, Territory Families, Housing and Community, Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation, MIFANT, NIAA, Youthlinx, Families as First Teachers (FaFT), Tennant Creek Primary School, Barkly Youth Services Provider Group and AFL NT Regional Development Manager Wayne Green were just a handful to take up the offer and check out the amazing work Barkly Regional Council’s Project Coordinator Brody Moore has completed in just over a week.

The Youth Centre will open just in time for the school holidays at a soft opening from 3pm next Friday afternoon with a disco, laser tag, games and action on the ninja course.

In the coming weeks there will be more fun activities at the Centre for local youth, with the arrival of PlayStations, arcade games and televisions.

Keep an eye out for the school holiday calendar to be released next week.
