The Barkly Vet Practice has had an incredible response to its free desexing campaign this week.
Thanks to funding from the Tennant Creek Local Government Authority, 64 animals were expertly operated on by the clinic’s dedicated team of vets, nurses, and support staff.
The clinic was bustling with activity as all hands worked together to ensure the dogs and cats were in and out of surgery and safely on their way home to their loving families.
The success of the initiative even caught the attention of Authority Chairperson Darrin Whatley (pictured right), who called in to check on progress and sneak in a few cuddles with the patients.
To sweeten the deal, two $50 pet food vouchers have been donated and will be drawn this afternoon from the pets who underwent the procedure this week.
Today is the last day of the free program which is open to residents on Centrelink benefits.
