Yes, you have read correctly. Gallery Central will be holding its first-ever Posh up a Picket Exhibition in September.
You would not believe just how popular this crazy notion of an exhibition has become. Picket painters have literally been popping out of the picket line. Who would have thought that perhaps in some dark attic in Nhill, Picket Painting Anonymous meetings are being held?
Comments have been made by the picket painting public, they see it as fun, not the need to be precious about what they are creating. Just letting their imaginations run riot with so many ideas.
The gallery has seen 100+ pickets leave the building, at the moment the gallery is picket-less. So, if you wish to source your own pickets to create on, by all means, do so. The more, the merrier for a great show in September.
Your creations can be signed, or you can fly under the radar the gallery won’t mind. Become a Picasso picket painter or a mysterious Banksy artist. All ages have collected pickets, so don’t feel you can’t join the picket line in creating something rather different for the gallery.
