On Tuesday 20th June 2023 Nhill Golf Club hosted the Golf Australia Nhill Primary School Tournament.
What a great day; beautiful and sunny, and the course was looking fantastic.
30 students were selected by travelling Golf Pro Tony Collier from Dimboola Primary, St. Peters Dimboola, Nhill Lutheran, St. Patrick’s Nhill and Nhill College.
With a shot Gun start at 930am, the budding golfers got underway playing some great golf, having a lot of fun and laughs on the way around.
At the end of the day, some very nice golf was played and a big congratulation to all of the players that qualified for the next level to be held at Horsham Golf Club on the 24th of November 2023 at 1030am.
Boys to progress are: Henry Zanker (Nhill Lutheran), Artie Avery (Dimboola primary), Jonas Beattie (St. Patrick’s), Ben Cannell (St. Patrick’s), Asher Cramer (Nhill College), Jack Dodds (Nhill College) and AH Nee New (Nhill College).
Girls to progress are: Mia Grover (Nhill Lutheran), Trinity Rethus (Nhill Lutheran), Giselle Clugston (Dimboola Primary) and Tilly Barry (Dimboola Primary).
Thank you to the teachers and parents for their help on the day.
And most of all thank you to all the junior golfers for doing their best, having an enjoyable day outside and giving the great game of golf a go.
