Students from schools across the Central Barkly Region converged into Tennant Creek for the annual Softball Inter-school Cup Championship.
The girls aged from 10 to 15 enjoyed learning and developing their softball skills through skills sessions and playing games against each other. It was great to see some local mothers come down to the oval to encourage their child’s school team.
The student’s skills and reading the play improved as the day progressed with students stealing bases every chance they could. Some great hits were done with the Elliott team producing the biggest hit of the day.
Elliott school was named champions with the combined team of Canteen Creek & Neutral Junction as runners up.
