The Tennant Creek Community Shed is bringing an exciting enterprise showcase to town this weekend where locals can hear from leading business leaders from across the country.
The Tennant Creek Social Enterprise Showcase is open to everyone and will be held on Sunday at the Civic Hall on Peko Road from 11.30am – 2pm.
Speakers will include Natasha Short of Kimberley Jiyagas, Jason Lord from Arrernte Community Boxing Academy, Matt Panayl from Social Traders and the Barkly’s own John Fitz from the Tennant Creek Community Shed to name a few.
They will be talking about what social enterprise means to them and their personal journeys as business leaders.
They will also share how their business makes an impact by empowering Indigenous women and men, creating inclusive and supportive spaces for young people and creating jobs for refugee communities and more.
The local Indigenous community, multicultural groups, local business leaders, community leaders, local government, schools and youth groups plus anyone else who is interested is welcome to the Showcase, which will be followed by a complimentary lunch to be enjoyed over plenty of conversations.
This event is facilitated by Impact North, the social enterprise network for Northern Australia. Impact North is an initiative of Enterprise Learning Projects, empowering remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs to transform their communities.
