Country music show by Dolly’s Dream ambassador

Recent stories

Country music on horseback will rev up Narrandera tomorrow night when multiple Golden Guitar winner, Tom Curtain, rides in to the Narrandera Showground.

Tom is promoting his fifth studio album, ‘Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us’ with shows across Australia, including Narrandera.

“Our show on the road is a snapshot of the experience of Katherine (where he and his family live),” he said.

“It’s more about the training of the animals and we are passionate about making it really family-orientated.”

He and wife, Annabel, two children, Harry, 3, and Lottie, 1, travel with three staff, eight horses, 12 dogs and three goats.

Tom is an official ambassador for Dolly’s Dream, and uses his music and shows to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and wellbeing in rural communities.

“We are still getting a lot of really positive responses to my song, ‘Speak Up’, because unfortunately the message resonates all too well with the communities we visit,” Tom said.

The show starts with an hour of horse training and working dog demonstrations with hands-on fun for the kids, followed by live music by Tom and fellow singer songwriters, Chris Matthews and Melissa Fraser.
