Always listening to their patients

Recent stories

Emma Pritchard, Clarence Valley Independent

There may be a few new faces and a name change on the horizon as the business continues to grow, but Celtic Coastal Hearing is proud to remain a family owned and independent practice, dedicated to providing the highest level of quality patient care while upholding the same values and principles it has been delivering to the Clarence Valley community throughout the past 10 years.

Established in 2012 by audiometrist Caitriona Slade, Celtic Coastal Hearing has recently been purchased by Vaughan and Kerrie Grigor of Entire Hearing Care, leading service providers in the Northern Rivers region, who have attained a strong reputation for providing outstanding results and successfully assisting with the most complex cases.

The business is also in a position to welcome new patients to the Yamba and Maclean clinics, and the team work closely with local general practitioners to guarantee the best results for all patients.

With no affiliation to multinational organisations or single hearing aid manufacturers, the team at Celtic Coastal Hearing continue to specialise in personalised, supportive, and affordable hearing solutions, with a strong focus on achieving a health care plan which enables patients to feel confident and empowered.

Follow up consultations are also provided to ensure mutifaceted hearing requirements are successfully accomplished. As Celtic Coastal Hearing moves forward under the new ownership and professional guidance of the Grigors, they are delighted to confirm local audiometrist Sarah McIntyre will continue her career with the business while maintaining her role within the team.

After receiving the 2022 Student of the Year Award through the Australian College of Audiology earlier this year, Ms McIntyre has established a popular following, and is widely respected and admired for her devotion to her patients.

The team is also thrilled to introduce Senior Practitioner Aaron Southwell to the Clarence Valley community. After commencing his career in the hearing health care industry in 1987, Mr Southwell has worked in private practices in southern Queensland and across the Northern Rivers region, and is one of the most experienced practitioners in the industry.

As he focuses on expanding his professionalism within the Clarence Valley, Mr Grigor said after growing up with a grandfather who experienced severe hearing difficulties, he heard his calling in life from an early age, and he is looking forward to continuing to build on the success Celtic Coastal Hearing is renowned for.

“With over 2000 patients in the area, we want to reassure people that we are continuing to look after them,” he said. “We always put the patient before profit.”

Mr Grigor has assumed the role of Managing Director with the business while his wife is proudly working alongside their dedicated team members with local clinicians to help achieve the best results for all patients.

And while Celtic Coastal Hearing will soon be known as Entire Hearing Care, the quality service they proudly offer their local community will remain unchanged.
