The fourth annual Bowls Queensland North versus South Challenge will be held at the Mossman Memorial Bowls Club on October 30 and 31, 2021.
Held for the last three years, this event has been a great promotion for the sport of bowls throughout the State. Bowls Queensland received positive feedback following the series at Mossman MBC last year and we look forward to another enjoyable event at the club.
Many of the State’s finest players will be in action with 17 players set to make their debut in the series. The format will be Men’s and Women’s teams, 12 players per team, three rinks of fours, three test series of 21 ends in each game, two games Saturday (1pm and 5pm) and one game Sunday at 9am.
Players will travel from many parts of QLD including Cairns, Mareeba, Silkwood, Townsville, Ingham, Mackay, Monto, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Cooloola Coast, Gympie, Pomona, Roma, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
Queensland selectors will be in attendance during the series searching for new talent.
Bowls Queensland would like to thank the Douglas Shire Council, Mossman Memorial Bowls Club and local businesses, Tropical Far North QLD Men’s and Ladies Districts for their support in attracting this event to the region.
