Hometown handler tastes victory in Henty sheep dog trial

A new Henty resident made the Three Sheep Trial his own at the Henty Machinery Field Days, taking out the tough event against the cream of the nation’s best trialers. Paul Elliott and his Border Collie Elliott’s Brisket scored 188 points to win the trial from John Perry, Bredbo, and Boco Raffa on 183 points under judge Ken Robinson, Quirindi, NSW.

The George Cartwright oval in Birchip was transformed into a mecca for vehicle lovers on Sunday, September 17, with 154 vehicles of all kinds, including cars, motorbikes and trucks competing in the fourth Buloke  Collectable Vehicle Club annual Show ‘N’ Shine.

Australia’s top young Merino judges vye for national title

Australia's most promising judges of Merino sheep have been announced by Agricultural Shows Australia as eligible to compete in the national finals of the prestigious annual competition to be judged next month. The competition brings together the best young judges and paraders aged from 15 to 25 in each state to compete at the national finals.

Arts About – ADH…ME!?

Nancy Whittaker. There is yet another little gallery called Cut it Out, which opened last Friday in Maldon, in the Post Office Residence in High Street. Artist and Curator Lisa Speed is complementing her This Little Piggy cooking skills with artwork in an exhibition titled ADH…ME!?, featuring the work of Jacki Irwin.
