Cracker of a show

Recent stories

Local rural and agricultural shows are making a comeback and the Corryong Show is no exception.

“Our sponsorship and community engagement has been huge leading into our show on October 7th,” said secretary, Emma Klippel.

“This year’s show is set to be our biggest and best year yet, with our famous fireworks booked in and ready to impress.

“The display is set to light up the sky once the sun goes down, so pack the picnic rug and settle in for a cosy show beside the bar and enjoy the live music, while colours transform the sky over our town.

“During the afternoon our signature attraction this year, Enduro stunt rider Tim Coleman, will also put on an adrenaline-packed, eye-popping show.”

Show day is set to be activity after activity with something exciting happening all around the Corryong Events Centre.

There will be events and activities to enterian both the kids and adults.

The Dog Jump is back and word has it that a number of locals have been seen practising happening, so grab your pooches and pop your entries in.

“We heard the feedback from last year and are pleased to announce more food stalls from local and outside areas for all types of tastebuds, from the humble sausage in bread to Thai we have it covered,” Emma added.

“Families will also be pleased that we are providing free amusements rides for the kids including jumping castles plus pony rides, facepainting and the animal nursery.”

Show stewards are also ready to judge and award local and emerging talent and pavilion entries are now being called to win some great prizes.

The pavilion section also allows local children to engage in their creativity and publicly produce art, cooking and floristry.

The Corryong Show Committee has put in an enormous amount of effort to make this year’s event one that will impress.

“Be sure to tell your friends and family to come along and join in the everlasting fun we will have on offer from 3pm on Saturday October 7th,” Emma said.

“We look forward to seeing you there to support our community.”

Tickets are available online at eventbrite or check out the Show Facebook and Instagram sites for more information.
