66th Dayboro Show, 8-9 July 2023

Dayboro – The Town of Yesteryear is set to come alive when town meets country at the best little country show.  The annual Dayboro Show is celebrating 66 years with the 2023 event being held on July 8th and 9th. The show will bring together almost every aspect of rural living from cattle displays, sheep herding and poultry exhibits; to displays of the regions’ historic machinery and a 2-day filled wood-chopping program.

Ganmain Arts Festival returns for second year

The second ever Ganmain Arts Festival on Ford will be held on June 24 and 25. The Art Festival will transform Ford Street with art from local artists in different disciplines to be featured in storefronts, businesses and the town hall.

150th Rockhampton Show, 14-16 June 2023

Rockhampton Agricultural Show Program set to WOW crowds with stellar family entertainment line-up. The Rockhampton Agricultural Show is bringing some big names to the program for their 150th Anniversary event on 14-16 June. Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said this is the biggest entertainment program the Show has delivered in recent years and rightly so for our 150th celebration.

It was about speed and presentation (that’s where the parsley comes in) in the Great Boning Wars that took place on the back of a truck in the middle of roundabout turned cattle ring in Walker St, Casino. It was Beef Week Saturday, May 27, and the art of de-boning meat was a spectator sport.

Australia’s largest independent ticketing company, Oztix, today announced the acquisition of Local Tickets — a smaller, rival ticketing agency specialising in local events Australia-wide. Locals join in the Beanie Festival fun

After several workshops in Tennant Creek last week, felting tutor Tanya Hattingh returned to Alice with 30 beanies made by Tennant Creek residents for entry into the 2023 Beanie Festival ... The festival was organised to sell beanies crocheted by Aboriginal women in remote communities, and has grown into a fun event where Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal artists share their cultures and exhibit together.
