Australia has a track record of producing world-class children’s entertainers, from The Wiggles and Bluey to Emma Memma, and now a new duo is stepping into the spotlight, already capturing the attention of millions of young Australians in classrooms nationwide.

This June, beloved “edu-tainers” Pevan & Sarah will make their highly anticipated debut on ABC, taking their proven learning model from classrooms into loungerooms across the country.

And in anticipation of the debut, they are taking to the stage around Australia on a national tour.

Already a phenomenon in Australian schools, Pevan & Sarah, created by educators Sarah and Manny Kechayas, have amassed more than 16.6 million YouTube views and built a loyal following through their education platform Cub Club, which reaches over 150,000 students across Australia.

Their music-driven approach is embedded in classrooms nationwide, helping teachers bring curriculum to life through rhythm, repetition, and play.

Their move to mainstream television comes at a critical time. With increasing national concern around student engagement, educators are calling for new ways to connect with young learners.

Research continues to show that engagement is one of the strongest predictors of academic success, yet many traditional teaching methods struggle to hold attention in an increasingly digital world.

“We’ve seen firsthand in classrooms across Australia the impact that music has on learning,” said Sarah Kechayas. “Kids want to be actively involved in their education, and we know that when it’s fun, it sticks.”

Pevan & Sarah’s approach flips the script, blending curriculum-aligned content with high-energy entertainment to help transform learning from passive to active. By combining music, movement, and storytelling, their content is designed to strengthen memory retention and deepen comprehension by engaging multiple cognitive pathways.

“We know families are looking for content that’s both entertaining and meaningful,” said Manny Kechayas. “This is about bridging the gap between school and home and helping kids build confidence across key areas like literacy, numeracy and wellbeing, without it feeling like learning.”
