A beloved tradition returns
There’s a special kind of excitement that arrives in Wauchope each autumn, and in 2026 the Wauchope Show is set to be bigger than ever. A cornerstone of the local calendar, the show brings generations together to celebrate tradition, agriculture, entertainment and community pride.
With all the crowd favourites returning—and even more attractions being added each week— the Wauchope Show 2026 promises two action-packed days for locals and visitors alike.

From the moment the gates open, the showground will be buzzing with colour, energy and excitement. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of thrilling rides, classic showbags, and plenty of family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.
As night falls, the skies above Wauchope will once again light up with the much-loved fireworks display, a highlight for many families.
Returning favourites include Reptile Solutions, offering fascinating and interactive animal encounters, and the hugely popular Dinkum Dinosaurs, delighting children and adults alike with a prehistoric adventure.

Young Woman Competition – applications now open
A proud and long-standing tradition of the Wauchope Show, the Young Woman Competition will return in 2026, offering young women the chance to grow, connect and represent their community.
Applications are now open and will close on Friday 13 March 2026.
This opportunity is open to young women aged 14–17 and 18–25 who are interested in:
- Stepping outside their comfort zone
- Personal and professional development
- Building confidence and leadership skills
- Networking within the local community
- Experiencing the behind-the-scenes world of the Wauchope Show
Participants become part of a rich history and tradition that celebrates community involvement, personal growth and lifelong friendships.

Looking ahead – a big year for Wauchope
Excitement is also building beyond 2026, with the Wauchope Show Society set to host the Zone 1 Final in 2027, the first time in nine years this prestigious event will be held locally.
In the meantime, the community proudly supports 2025 Young Woman winner Brianna, who will represent Wauchope at the Zone 1 Final in Kyogle on 14 February.
“Hosting the Zone 1 Final will be a huge milestone for Wauchope and our Show Society.”
Supporting local business and community
The Wauchope Show continues to champion local business and community involvement. Each year, the popular Window Dressing Competition encourages local businesses to showcase their creativity, while the Business House Float Competition, held during the Grand Parade on Saturday, brings colour and excitement to the streets.
The show is proudly run by dedicated volunteers, and the Wauchope Show Society welcomes anyone interested in getting involved and supporting this iconic event.
