This year’s Narrandera rod run marks its 40th Anniversary, and I have been to every one and I am only 40 years old.
I am Steven Alldrick and I am part of the Organising committee. Narrandera is a special place for me and my family not only going every year, being able to organise the run, but it is where I met my wife Kathleen and where I proposed to her. Kathleen and I met 24 years ago and have been together ever since. This Easter Sunday we celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary.
We have two children Zoe and Jake and they both love coming to Narrandera – it has become their favourite place. They have met so many friends, and both love hot rods, they have a mini hot rod of their own.
Kathleen and I also share a passion for hot rods and custom cars, having many at home in the garage. Kathleen’s 1932 Ford Tudor is a regular at the Run along with my 1934 ford Roadster.
Last year I brought my 1967 XR falcon Ute and this year we are bringing our newly restored 1964 XM Ute which we finished for the Summernats in January.
