A warm hello to all our entrants, visitors, and locals who have ventured to Narrandera this year for the 40th Narrandera Rod Run.

We are excited to be back for another wonderful Easter, with a good number of entrants, we expect similar numbers around the oval at the show n shine on Sunday; with 400 cars in attendance.

This is wonderful for the town with so many visitors, we have encouraged all our entrants to shop locally and support the town as much as they can.

Many businesses have sponsored the run to help keep the entry cost down and help attract entrants and visitors to easter in Narrandera. Without these sponsors we just could not return year after year, so we would like to say a huge thank you for getting behind this event and supporting us to put it on year after year.

The usual public event will be on again this year; the ‘Cruising no boozing’ will take place on Saturday night on East Street and again this year we will be having entrant only parking so please be aware of those. The lion clubs train will be in attendance, picking up children and their families taking them for a cruise up the main street for a gold coin donation.

We will have a special guest giving out easter eggs in the main street at four locations, out the front of IGA, the Commonwealth Bank corner, the garden in front of the Shire Chambers and in front of Mitre 10, so no-one will miss out.

The Show and Shine will take place on Easter Sunday again at the Narrandera Sportsground like last year, we have a huge market and amusements from 11am till 3pm Sunday.

On Friday the ladies will be able to enjoy an afternoon at Sew Fab, with project making, craft and nibbles. We would like to thank Leanne and her team for allowing this to happen, she has been doing this for many years now and we really appreciate all her support.

We have an observation cruise on Friday and Saturday, our entrants will be able to explore the town and surrounding areas.

You will see a lot of cars around town enjoying cruising up and down the street. This always creates such a wonderful atmosphere.

I would like to finish off by firstly thanking all the entrants for once again supporting this rod run because without them, we would not have an event.

To the wonderful sponsors who continue to support the event, without you we wouldn’t financially be able to keep going. And a big thank you to everyone at the Narrandera Shire Council who always support and help us strive to make this event bigger and better each year. We really appreciate the way you get behind us and assist with whatever we need.

The last thank you and the most important goes to the small Narrandera rod run committee and helpers, Ray and Barbara Alldrick for the 40 year of dedication to the event, Emily and Darryn for the tireless efforts with the all the entries, Ken and Leanne for their dedication to the event, Ian Simpson, Rob Bunton, and team Watson. It’s a big job and without your commitment it just wouldn’t get done.

So, let’s enjoy being able to cruise our cars and catch up with friends!!

See you all in 2026.

Thank you.
