One of Australia’s oldest festivals, Brave New Works, is 31 years old and will run from April 3-6. Beginning in the late 80s, Denmark Arts has presented the event every year since.
This year the festival theme, Aurora Australis, has attracted 50 local and Statewide artists, with every application accepted.
The result is a line up of vibrant projections, starry night skies and colourful aurora representations in five exhibitions.
Denmark Arts director Abbie Pedersen hoped the community would appreciate the outstanding acts and the calibre of artists.
“Some of the acts in the program wouldn’t come to Denmark without a professional festival platform to support the delivery of their work,” she said. “It is astounding who Brave New Works has attracted.”
