The Donald Bakery left the 2025 Victorian Baking Show, hosted in Bendigo, with a tray full of awards.

The awards were handed out earlier this month and Donald was once again firmly placed on the map thanks to the incredible efforts of the team at the Donald Bakery. Taking home four first place awards and one second place, a big heartfelt congratulations was in order.

When asked about how he felt going into the show, Sam Beavis said, “I wasn’t super confident going into it, but I just kept practising and refining my technique up until the last minute.

“The goal is always perfection but it’s a goal with no end, you simply keep practising and getting better. Some days you make something so close to perfection that it’s a struggle to put it on sale, instead of just eating it!”

“Going to these events is also just great for feedback, either positive which makes you feel great or negative which helps you learn.”

When asked what was his favourite part of the event, however, he simply said: “Family, listening to my kids’ excitement was easily the best part.”
