The farm produce section at the Allora Show has been under the watchful eye of Shooter family members for the past 70 years. The 2025 Allora Show was a great opportunity for the family to meet in the Pavilion for a happy snap.
Ray at 90 giving young Hugh a few tips
Ray Shooter took over the role as Chief Steward from his Uncle Jim Shooter. After his time at the helm came to an end, he passed down the honour to his son Ted. Waiting patiently in the wings for their time to take over are his granddaughter Kate, grandson son Harry and great grandson Hugh.
Ray Shooter has attended 80 odd Shows, and will be 91 this year, says he’s missed a few, but not too many. Now the cycle continues with this being little Hugh’s first show where had a good time but found the Rodeo a bit loud.
