Recent stories

Another successful cohort of Hay War Memorial High School students have wrapped up their secondary education.

The Riverine Grazier asked the students what the future holds for them, and some of their favourite things about their time in high school.

Lucy Shea: My favourite class was PDHPE and my favourite teacher was Mrs Millyard.

Next year I plan on going to university in Wagga either studying primary education or oral health.

Ethan Gray: My favourite teacher was Mr Stokes, and my favourite class was metalwork and Physical Activities and Sports Studies (PASS).

I have applied for a Diesel Mechanic position in the area, as this is what I would like to pursue as a career.

Jensen Hargreaves: My favourite class in school has always been PE; favourite teacher was Mr Stokes.

Next year I’m moving to Yarrawonga to do a traineeship and play football.

Mackenzie Dawson: My favourite teacher was James Caughey and my favourite class was agriculture.

I am doing a gap year next year to figure out what the future holds.

Indyanna Wilson: My favourite subject was any of Mr Ang’s classes.

My favourite teacher was Fleur Cullenward. I will be completing a bachelor of accounting and running my own business.

Sean Johnston: My favourite subject was Mr Heydon’s English class, and he was my favourite teacher.

I will be working in a trade and owning my own property with Bailey.

Roree Moorhouse: During my senior years I really enjoyed legal studies and CAFS, they both helped expand my interests and figure out what I wanted to do when I graduated.

I was accepted into university, but I chose to defer it for a year and work.

I am then going to study primary school teaching and eventually getting a degree in social work.

Best wishes to all graduates from the team at The Riverine Grazier.
