Contents of a deceased estate at Watchem are to be auctioned in an online auction over two consecutive Sundays, September 29 and October 6.
The intriguing story behind the items to go under the hammer is that they belonged to the late owner who had a reputation he could repair and fix almost anything, and never ever threw anything away as he might need the part one day.
Many of the repair assignments Mr. Fix-it tackled were “paid”, not in cash, but as barter – often an old car to add to Mr. Fix-it’s collection, hence, the auction.
Vintage trucks include Mack, Austin, Chev, Bedford plus passenger vehicles from last century in need of some TLC.
Spare parts are available, as the former owner never disposed of anything. All the motors and machinery are collectors’ dreams and already attracting interest from bidders throughout Australia.
