This past Saturday marked the 62nd Anniversary of Samoan Independence from New Zealand, a significant milestone for the Samoan community.
The celebration at the CWA Hall in Tennant Creek was a testament to our rich cultural heritage, featuring an afternoon of singing, dancing, and fun.
The enthusiasm from the performers was unmistakable and added to the festive atmosphere. Following a flag-raising ceremony, families living in Tennant Creek performed traditional Samoan singing and dancing, giving guests a glimpse of the joy and diversity in Samoan culture.
It’s no wonder that all the guests left the event smiling after such a delightful celebration.
