Allora Bowls notes – Round 13

Recent stories

An exciting night of bowls to finish off the season with the winners for the Summer competition Gina’s Babies on 21 and the runners up Cool Cats on 18. Congratulations to both teams. The team names will be added to the Lyn Wright Night Bowls Championship Shield.

Players in the winning team for Gina’s Babies were Rusty McMillan, Glen McMillan & Andrew (Slug) Petersen.

Players in the Runners Up team for Cool Cats were Lynn Patterson, Codie Prendergast & Denis Allen.

Also congratulations to all the other teams who played this season, it is not about winning or losing, it is about enjoying a night with team members and friends and supporting the local sports club.

There was a play off for runners up between Peaky Blinders and Cool Cats over two ends with Cool Cats taking 2 points on the first end and 1 point on the second end to win.

Thank you to all the sponsors for the season, Allora Butchery, Railway Hotel, Allora Sports Club, Right 1st Time Cleaning, Millstone Group, Amy’s Country Café & The Greenkeeper, your continuing support is greatly appreciated. Also to everyone who helps out each week especially Moley as green keeper, Bec in the bar and Wendy & John. A very special thank you to Greg Patto who without his organising, Tuesday night social bowls would not exist, and not forgetting the Music Man Ryan Cooper who has such great music pumping each week and to the many subs who fill in for players each week.
