The Harcourt Applefest, set for Saturday 9 March and organised by the local community, is a day-long festival in the Harcourt Valley that highlights the region’s cultural heritage and produce. The event, renowned for its engaging activities and showcasing of local talent, will feature a diverse range of attractions suitable for all ages.
The festival will kick off at 10am with the Applefest Market, where attendees can explore a selection of arts, crafts, and local produce. This marketplace will offer a glimpse into the creativity and agricultural richness of the area.
A focal point of the festival will be the competitions, including an Art Show, a Cookery Competition, and a Lego Competition.
These events are designed to celebrate the artistic, culinary, and creative skills of the Harcourt community. Participants from various backgrounds will have the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete for recognition.
Entertainment for the day includes performances by Duck Cameron, the Master Magician, at 12 noon and 2.30pm, and the Australian Women’s Choir, conducted by Wendy Stapleton, at 1.35pm. The apple pie eating competition, a staple of the festival, is scheduled for 12.55pm on the main stage.
