Ali Curung Youth Centre a key priority for Barkly Council

Recent stories

The CEO of Barkly Regional Council visited Ali Curung recently to address community concerns over the significantly delayed Youth Centre.

The Youth Centre, funded by the Federal Government’s Building Better Regions Fund, remains a key priority for the Barkly Regional Council, said CEO Ian Bodill.

Mr Bodill spoke with residents concerned about the Youth Centre’s future to discuss the delays and provide information on the project’s progression.

“Barkly Regional Council is undertaking a review of the plans for the centre so they can be updated to ensure alignment with community wishes and expectations,” he said.

“We will continue to work with the NT Government, Commonwealth Government and the Barkly Regional Deal Governance Table and stakeholders to ensure the Ali Curung Youth Centre is completed.”

Mr Bodill said further information and updates on the project would be regularly provided to the community.
