Falcons ginger beer launch

On Thursday last week the Mount Alexander Falcons Women’s Sports Club launched a ginger beer made in collaboration with Shedshaker Brewing as a fundraiser to support the club and their community programs, which includes the outreach program at Tarrengower prison.

Tea time timelines

Around a year ago Donna Murphy and Dave Rowe bought their house on the corner of Templeton and Adair Streets in Maldon. It’s an old-time shop-plus-residence building with bay windows either side of the front door – which they use regularly for displays commemorating significant days in the calendar year.

A balmy Wednesday evening last week at Theatre Royal in Castlemaine was the setting for the 2023 Mount Alexander Business Awards ... Rebecca Barnett’s Maldon Bakery just edged out Franco’s Restaurant and Splash Literacy as best new business of 2023.

The TT attended a Consultation meeting at Maldon Neighbourhood Centre last week and met Mount Alexander Shire Council’s Housing Solutions Broker Clare Richards ... Council is currently considering allocating 49-year leases on land owned at Steele Street in Maldon and Canrobert Street Newstead to Wintringham Housing.

Local architect joins Greater Bendigo Heritage Advisory Committee

Maldon’s own Andrew Fedorowicz was last week formally appointed to the Greater Bendigo Heritage Advisory Committee. He will join one other architect, as well as the Greater Bendigo councillors, heritage advisors and town planners who make up the committee of around 10 members.
