Well-known local artists Kerry and Malcolm Nicholson (pictured) have taken out the top award at Sheffield’s International Mural Fest 2023 held this month in Tasmania.
Kerry and Malcolm won the Inder Prize People’s Choice Award with their mural “The Spirit of Adventure”. Kerry’s aim was to give the boy’s eyes a look of adventure which had the desired effect.
Artists from across Australia and countries around the world participate in Mural Fest.
This is the seventh major win by the Nicholson brothers.
This one is extra special as Sheffield is celebrating its 20th Anniversary as Australia’s Mural capital.
