It’s Junee Show Time Again! Get Ready for the Spectacular 133rd Junee Show on October 28, 2023.
The excitement is building as the Junee Show Society prepares to welcome visitors to the grand 133rd Junee Show, set to take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023. This annual celebration promises to be the biggest and best show yet, offering a wide array of entertainment, attractions, and competitions for the entire family.
The Junee Show will open its gates at 9 a.m. at the Junee Showground on Park Lane, kicking off a day filled with fun and festivities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the sponsors who have made this event possible, with special recognition to The Junee District Cooperative Society Limited, our major sponsor for the 133rd Junee Show. Their generous support, along with that of countless other local businesses and dedicated volunteers, has contributed to making this year’s show truly exceptional.
The Junee Show promises to showcase the very best of the Junee District. In addition to a rich line-up of live music, including performances by the local Junee Band, the Wagga & District Pipe Band, and the talented Happy Hour Duo, there will be a variety of captivating animal attractions such as the Animal Nursery, ring events, poultry and sheep competitions, and a free Pet Show/Competition. Free entertainment will also include Magic Shows and Workshops and Comedy Duck Races!
A highlight of the day will be the official opening ceremony at around 2 p.m. when we will announce the winners of the 2023 Young Woman Competition (formerly known as Junee Miss Showgirl) and the winners of the 200 Club.
For those seeking traditional show experiences, we have it all. Enjoy the excitement of sideshow alley, indulge in delectable show bags, and marvel at the stud sheep, poultry, and the ever-popular Bushman’s Relay. Our main pavilion will showcase an incredible display of local talent across various sections, including cooking, arts and crafts, horticulture, wool, schoolwork, photography, farm/garden produce, and much more. The action-packed day begins early with the Junior Judging and Schools Competition, as well as a full program of horse events in the show ring starting at 9am. Horse enthusiasts can look forward to a range of events, including a Fun Ring, Australian Stock Horses, Champion Riders, and more.
When hunger strikes, delight in an array of delicious food options, from the main dining room to the BBQ and food stalls, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every palate. As the day draws to a close, prepare to be amazed by the Grand Finale Fireworks Display, which will light up the night sky at 8pm, bringing the 2023 Junee Show to an unforgettable conclusion.
