2022 saw the cancellation of the Numurkah Show, not to COVID, but to floods. Many of the roads leading to Numurkah were shut due to crossing flood waters or in a bad state as a result of same. Consequently 2023 sees the Numurkah Agriculture Society again presenting our 133rd Show. There is a very high degree of anticipation to have once again a Numurkah Show.

The theme for this years Show remains “Bees”. Given the current publicity about the Bee Industry and its challenges with the virus means this is a very relevant topic and one that requires diligence by all, as we know the importance of Bees to many facets of life. Several classes in the Pavilions will be centred around the theme and there will be a Bee Display featuring the many reasons why the Bee is a major component in Agriculture and our lives generally.

The Showman’s Guild Show will again be to the fore with a very good variety of the regular rides and entertainment. Also there will be an Animal Nursery featuring a large range of animals and birds. This is in the same Pavilion as the Poultry Show.

Numurkah Show has always had a very big following by the Dog fraternity with an excellent Parade ring and plenty of area for Parking and preparation tents. Approximately 400 Dog entries are anticipated.

All the usual Pavilion exhibits will be on display. Craft, Art, Needlework, Cookery, Preserves, Garden and Photography, all of which have many Junior classes.

The Main Oval will feature all Classes for the Horse owners including 5 quality Horse Jumping events with very good prize money. The Horse arena has increased in size to 5 rings with the 2 additional rings in the schedule being a Pony Club ring and a Topsy Turvey ring for novice riders.

Dairy and Beef Cattle, Sheep and Wool round off an excellent variety of things to be visited and enjoyed.

The Numurkah Show has always kept entry fees down to encourage Families to attend without breaking the Bank. The Society feels that given the current economic conditions, keeping entry fees low is a priority.
