The Australian rock legends will take the stage for Passion of the Pilbara alongside a great line-up of events including the Culinary Showcase hosted by MasterChef’s Andrea Puglisi.

Passion of the Pilbara (POP) is returning to Onslow on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 August with Jebediah, events and activities, live entertainment, food trucks and more for all ages to enjoy.

It was almost 23 years ago that Jebediah first entered the Australian music scene, and with six albums and years of awards and acclaim later, the Jebs continue to captivate their devout fan base with their infectious energy and enthusiasm.

The band will be the final performance of a full two days of events including live acts, a launch party filled with homegrown Western Australian talent, food trucks, and the much-anticipated Culinary Showcase at the Onslow Community Garden.

This year, the kitchen will be taken over by MasterChef Australia 2023 cast member Andrea Puglisi.

With his Dad and Nonna as his cooking inspirations, most of Andrea’s childhood memories centre around authentic Italian food. His family took over a café, and as he grew older, he helped to run it alongside his family, resulting in later roles as a hospitality venue manager, a bar tender and a vineyard farm hand.

Shire of Ashburton President Kerry White said she is extremely excited that Onslow would host the popular headline act and acknowledged that Passion of the Pilbara continued to grow in terms of entertainment, audience and attracting bigger names to the region.

“Passion of the Pilbara has transformed from a community event to one that showcases the Pilbara’s heart and soul through a collaboration of music, arts, entertainment, food and community”, said Councillor White.

“Attracting such a strong line-up of WA artists and entertainers wanting to perform and join in the celebrations is testament of the success of the festival.

“The Shire of Ashburton is also thankful to our event sponsors including Woodside, Mineral Resources, Pilbara Ports Authority and Horizon Power for their assistance in bringing this event to life.”

All Passion of the Pilbara events are free to attend and family-friendly, with only food, beverages and games requiring payment. No ticket purchases are required for events.

Keep an eye out as more musicians, acts, and event information is announced over the coming weeks!
