Introducing Megan Rauchle Principal – Allora P-10

Recent stories

Megan has been appointed the new Principal of the Allora P-10 State School after the retirement of Shaun Kanowski at the end of last term.

Megan Rauchle took over the reins of Allora P-10 State School at the start of this term. She is a passionate teacher and believes in an all inclusive school where students, staff and teachers are successful and reach their capability.

To Megan, it’s important that parents are involved in their child’s learning and they are a good role model.

The Department of Education has School priorities, being Equity and Excellence in action. Megan is a firm believer in making these actions happen as working together, every student’s potential can be realised.

A brief look at the life of Megan – she attended Rockhampton High School and went to the USQ in Toowoomba. Megan was teacher and curriculum leader at Blackwater State School for 11 years then took over as Acting Principal in 2016. Two years later she moved to Emerald North State School as Acting Principal then in 2020 was appointed Principal.

Megan Rauchle has only been in Allora a few weeks but she feels right at home. In fact Megan always had a connection to Allora with relatives here and she lives with her son and husband Shaun on their property at Leyburn. Shaun’s involvement with the Wattles Rugby League team meant Megan was a keen spectator. Megan encourages sports at School – while she doesn’t play sport, she enjoys watching and is a keen supporter of the West Tigers in the NRL (so she doesn’t see too many winning games.)

You’ll no doubt see Megan around town as she wants to become involved in anything that’s happening!
