Five-year-old gelding ‘Excelleration’ captured the cluBarham Cup win with a photo finish, 0.1 lengths ahead of five-year-old gelding ‘Prince of Helena’.

Gannawarra’s Patrick Doyle made his first solo appearance at Kerang for the race calling. The 20-year-old RMIT student has been under the guidance of Rick McIntosh, and after calling a couple of races at the Kerang Boxing Day Cup, received the go ahead for his first solo race meeting. A fitting tribute, as Doyle called his first race at Kerang in 2017 and hasn’t missed a meeting since.
