We have three members that have been nominated for Life Membership and one that has been nominated for the "Royal Agricultural  Society of NSW"   "Agricultural Show Award". This award is  given to "Individuals  deserving acknowledgement for the enormous effort and support they give".

124th Cobargo Show, 10-12 February 2023

Additional items of entertainment that will be running are Fashions of the Show, best dressed couple, best dressed lady and best dressed male. To be judged at 11.15 am in front of the main pavilion. Cash prizes. A best Mullet competition!

105th Tyrendarra Agricultural Show, 11 February 2023

The Tyrendarra P&A Show will be running on Saturday 11 February and this year celebrating the 105 years. Again, it will be an amazing show full of entertainment and competitions for the whole family.

Allora Showgirl competition is back!

The call is out - The Allora Show Society is encouraging girls aged between 12 and 19 to enter the Allora Showgirl competition. This year there's been a change with no fundraising required.

Fashionable time to visit Schaeffer House

Emma Pritchard. While many people journey to the Clarence Valley to experience its regional charm, culture, scenery, and its vibrant communities and townships, its unique history and heritage are on public display at Schaeffer House Museum in Grafton. And for the next two months, the museum is showcasing a special exhibition.

Dorrigo Show 2022: It may be over but they’re still celebrating!

Dorrigo’s first show in three years might be over but organisers and officials are still celebrating its quality, success and popularity. Society President, Sally Duckett summed it up this way: “After three tough years of “No Show” forced upon us by Covid 19, 2022 was a huge success; perhaps one of the best ever.”

Adelaide to host premier grains forum: GRDC

South Australian grain growers and agronomists are set to gain advance access to the latest research findings, meet experts and network at SA’s premier grains research forum next month. The 2023 GRDC Grains Research Update – Adelaide will be held on February 7 and 8, with more than 400 people expected to attend. Keynote presentations will also be livestreamed.

Mad Max coming to town

Anyone who wanders into Narrandera Showground on January 28 and 29 next year will be forgiven for thinking they have stumbled into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. A Weekend With Max Festival, based on the popular Mad Max genre movies will take place over two days.

Woodford Folk Festival takes it up a notch

The large number of Darling Downs locals who help make up the throng at Woodfordia for the annual Woodford Folk Festival will notice a touch of luxury has been added for a lucky few this year. Twenty luxury glamping tents with ensuite bathrooms and kitchens have been launched with the help of $1.2 million from the Queensland Government Growing Tourism Infrastructure fund.

Narrandera Lions Club Christmas Carols in the Park 2022 was held in near perfect conditions on Sunday night with revellers turning out in force at Marie Bashir Park to enjoy an evening of song and dance and spread the festive spirit ... Narrandera East Infants, St Joseph’s Narrandera and Narrandera Public schools gave performances, as well as Leeton SDA Choir, With One Voice and Riverina Men’s choir groups, the Uniting Church community choir and individual soloists Jamie Gawne, Joan Graham and Texas Rose (Lou Hoare).

Musical experience at Morundah Palladium

The Melbourne Grammar School Symphony Orchestra will be performing at the Morundah Paradise Palladium this Saturday as part of a tour of 11 regional locations this month. Travelling over nine days and 3200 kilometres, the tour provides a wonderful opportunity to experience a full orchestra live in these towns.

The second play to be staged in August is David Williamson’s Dead White Males, an exploration into the importance of language and truth ... Rounding off the season in November is Closer by Patrick Marber, to be directed by Kylie Fuad.

How you can help protect tiny turtles

February is when our first turtle hatchling emerges from its nest beneath the sand. Before that happens, Sunshine Coast Council is calling on our community to come together to tidy up their local beach as part of the 9th annual Clean up for the Hatchlings event on Saturday, February 4, 2023 ... Volunteers can register now to pick up litter at various beach locations between Noosa and Caloundra from 6am to 7.30am.
