Mansfield District Racing Club

The Mansfield District Racing Club is looking forward to hosting the 168th running of the Mansfield Cup and providing a great day out for racegoers of all ages.

Following the cancellation of the Club’s popular Melbourne Cup Day meeting due to extremely wet conditions, the Club is keen to put picnic racing back on the community calendar.

The conveniently located Mansfield racecourse is known as one of the most picturesque and best serviced on the picnic racing circuit. The rolling lawns, shady trees and centrally located grandstand are perfect for rolling out a blanket and enjoying a picnic, while watching all the action on and off the track.

The Delatite Wines Fashions on the Field competition, hosted by Melbourne media personality Sarah Duffy combines fashion and music with the opportunity to win fabulous prizes. These include accommodation and hospitality packages at renowned destinations and local experiences such as hot air ballooning. The enhanced children’s fashions will be held between 12 noon and 1pm before the over 18s take to the catwalk.

As the last fashion photos are being taken at the media wall, chanteuse Marcelle Knapp will take to the stage to entertain with her popular music.

If the marquee experience is more to your liking, patrons can book seating in the centrally located McGrath Mansfield Lawn Party Marquee, providing track frontage, a shaded forecourt and a bar for beverage purchases.

For groups of 15 or more, the DPG ‘On the Rails’ marquee zone offers private shelters for your group to congregate and socialise with great views of the track.

The Mansfield District Racing Club places a strong emphasis on equine welfare through Racing Victoria’s Off the Track program. Proceeds from the Charity Draw will donated to this cause and retired thoroughbreds take part in the Cup Parade prior to the main race.
