Billy Brell’s car, ‘Billy’s Beast’ made a pit stop after crossing the finish line of the Lunchbox Rally in Hay last Tuesday.
Billy and his father Chris called into Crighton’s for a celebratory beverage with Jasen and the crew, and to also hand over the Beast.
Having travelled the dusty miles, transporting Billy and his dad through the family friendly fun of the Lunchbox Rally, it will now embark on another adventure in November, taking an enthusiastic crew on the Rust and Dust Rally.
Billy and his father, Chris are from Sydney, and wanted to join the Rally for the many benefits it has; raising money for good causes, showing Billy how important it is to be behind causes, and for the fun and bonding opportunity.
At the end of their father-son trip, they offered their rally car to the Rust N Dust Rally committee, rather than taking it all the way back to Sydney.
The Riverine Grazier’s Tertia Butcher and Margie McClelland will be embarking on the Rust N Dust Rally in November onboard the Grazier’s dedicated rally ute.
Over the last 14 years, box rallies have raised close to $50 million for the cancer council.
