The team from Glendonald and Orrie Cowie had an exceptional few days at the 2025 Australian Sheep & Wool Show in Bendigo, showcasing the strength and consistency of their breeding programs.
A combined 34 sheep were taken to the event between Glendonald and Orrie Cowie, contributing to both the show and sale with sheep that were well-prepared and highly competitive.
Orrie Cowie made an impressive start by taking out the prestigious Victorian Pair on Day 1 and continued to build momentum with a combined total of 27 broad ribbons and a strong haul of place ribbons across various classes. Both the rams and ewes presented by the team drew attention from many.
Orrie Cowie was awarded Victorian Ram of the Year. This win will see them travel to Dubbo, NSW, in the coming weeks to proudly represent Victoria.
Orrie Cowie was awarding with most successful exhibitor in the medium wool with Glendonald taking out most successful in the strong wool.
The success extended into the Sunday Ram Sale, where Glendonald sold 5 of 8 rams offered, topping their draft at $11,000, while Orrie Cowie sold 3 of 4 rams, topping at $9,000.
