It’s 23 years since Woodenbong has had a rodeo. Renai Pearce and John O’Reilly changed that by putting on a rodeo at Woodenbong Showground yesterday, Saturday, July 20.

There were 60 riders and 1500 people through the gate. Mr. O’Reilly said the auction raised $1850.

The money that came in is still being added up with profits going to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

“I think we’ll have two rodeos next year,” Mr O’Reilly said.

Daniel Cohen was there taking photos. Check them out below. They are for sale at dcsportsphotography.
