To whom it may concern,

Last Thursday I accompanied the President and the Secretary of the Allora Sports Museum to an intended meeting with the mayor and councillors of the Southern Downs to discuss ongoing issues that are slowing the progress of the said Museum to a crawl. I was to be an observer at this prearranged meeting. The council was represented by two council officers and two councillors.

Where were the mayor and the balance of the elected councillors, too busy? There was a complete disregard for those of us representing the people of Allora on a matter that has been for a considerable amount of time put on too hard a shelf.

Councillors are elected representatives of the people; they are paid to perform a duty on behalf of those who elected them. Plenty of noise was made before the elections regarding the operational activities of the said council and the improvements required, and it, by this experience, has come to naught.

The members of the Sports Museum committee were held in contempt by people elected to speak and act on their behalf, old-fashioned rudeness I believe! I have offered my historic racing car to benefit the people of Allora and beyond, major museums and collections around Australia and the USA would be excited to take my offer and a rude bunch of people we elected have treated me and my friends so poorly.
