After a resounding win for the LNP in the Queensland Election held on Saturday our local member Southern Downs James Lister has been returned to Parliament with an increased majority.

James extends his thanks to the community – 

“I am very grateful to to the people of Southern Downs for making me our MP again with a bigger vote than ever.

I spent four hours at the polling booth in Allora on election day and I thank the people of Allora for their support for me.

My team and I ran an honest and positive campaign which focused on the things which everyone has been raising with me as I get around.

Belinda will be giving birth to our fourth child shortly, and I want to especially thank her and our kids, Jeremy, William and Amelia for their love and support.

And now it’s back to work!”
