In the beautiful valley at Stuart Mill live two artist neighbours whose works invite us into a mystical world.
Chris Dyson was born in WA, and in the 1970s was a guitarist playing in the inner Melbourne rock scene. Later he studied, and taught, art at the Victorian College of Arts. He did a Masters degree in Fine Art at Monash University. He has works in collections in Australia and overseas and since 1985 he has exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne galleries.
Chris says: “I have never really liked describing my work, painting is for looking at, music is for listening to.”
Stephen MacKenzie worked in the performing arts in 1970s and his painting work is often inspired by opera. He designed sets for two plays “Half Nelson” and “Eva Peron.” He has exhibited in Sydney and Melbourne galleries.
This is an opportunity to see the works of two artists who bring us a glimpse of mystery.
