Matthew Denny is Australia’s first male discus thrower to win a medal at the Olympics.
Matthew is also the only Olympian to come from Allora.
For an athlete who went to the Paris Olympics to play Discus Matthew made it known there’s no more fourth.
So he was super happy with the Bronze Medal saying “not exactly the result but not far off.”
Matthew, son of Karen and John Denny, is proud of what he has done and gave thanks to his team and everyone who supported him. His best throw on the day was a huge 69.31 metres.
