As the community eagerly awaits the arrival of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour visit to Mt. Wycheproof, it’s timely to shine a spotlight on the incredible volunteers at the local community hub – the Wycheproof Op-Shop.
These dedicated individuals are often the backbone of our community, working tirelessly to raise funds for vital initiatives that make a real difference in our town.
Funding Hub
From supporting local projects to funding community programs, the efforts of our op-shop volunteers go far beyond the walls of their shop. Their commitment and passion ensure that every dollar raised contributes to the betterment of our community, fostering a spirit of togetherness, sustainability and resilience.
Town Tour Venue
The op-shop will be a feature venue during the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour’s visit, offering a perfect opportunity for everyone to witness firsthand the positive impact these volunteers have on Mt. Wycheproof.
The community and travellers on the Calder Highway will be encouraged to stop and visit the shop, not only to find hidden treasures, but also to support the ongoing efforts of these unsung heroes and meet “The People’s Cup”.
Recognition
The tour stop-over, scheduled for the afternoon, provides an ideal opportunity to come together and celebrate the volunteers who give so much of their time and energy to keep our community thriving. Their hard work and dedication are what make Mt. Wycheproof a truly special place to live.
