Balranald GM resigns

Recent stories

General Manager of Balranald Shire Council, Craig Bennett, has resigned from his position.

“It has been an honour to serve the Balranald Shire Community over the past 18 months,” Mr Bennett said in a media release issued last week.

Mr Bennett has been part of significant efforts put forth by Balranald Shire Council over the past 18 months.

These efforts have strengthened the position of the LGA as the administration period of the council begins to conclude.

“Craig has made his mark on the Balranald Shire, especially through his interactions with the community and various local organisations,” Administrator Mike Colreavy said.

“Craig has also undertaken a very substantial workload as General Manager.

“I would like to acknowledge his efforts in making Council ready for the return of a democratically elected Council in September.

“I thank him for his contribution towards bringing many capital projects to fruition.”
