Who could have not noticed the two Clydesdales and immaculate wagon weaving around the streets of the town last week and grazing on the front lawn of the Golf Club. Harry Vidal sits in the drivers seat of his wagon, idling along behind Henry and George on their trip from Morgan SA to Cunnamulla, Qld.
It took Harry from the 11th May to the 20th June to come from Morgan to Wilcannia. In another week he will be in White Cliffs, then on to Wanaaring. He expects to take 3.5 months to travel the 1150ks to Cunnamulla.
Harry is being supported by his wife who follows along with a truck load of hay and we hear that Dann’s Supplies in Broken Hill were very generous.
Along the way, Harry is raising money for a charity very close to his heart, Craniofacial Australia. Harrys brother was born with a craniofacial deformity which affects how a person face looks, and required constant medical attention. Cleft palette is a deformity from birth, others arise from accidents or illness such as cancer. You can support Harry’s work by following the link below.
