The newly re-opened Bidgee Hotel at Narrandera is proud to host a special charity event tomorrow night as part of its ongoing Community Meat Tray Raffle Nights.
This initiative, which supports a local charity or cause each Friday, is a cornerstone of the hotel’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Tomorrow night’s event is dedicated to supporting Grace Atkinson, a young local girl battling familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Grace’s journey with this condition has been challenging, requiring frequent medical appointments, emergency visits and urgent trips to Canberra for specialized care. The financial strain on Grace and her family has been immense, making community support more critical than ever.
To help alleviate this burden, the Bidgee Hotel is organising a fundraiser night filled with activities, entertainment and opportunities for the community to come together in support of Grace.
A beautiful artwork print by the talented Lesley Jane and a very special one-of-a-kind art piece by Stewart James, the artist behind Carlton’s Indigenous guernsey will be raffled.
This piece, inspired by Grace’s specific requests regarding meaning and colour, features blues, purples, and reds with a turtle as its centerpiece, symbolizing cultural and family connections.
Additionally, Stewart is donating a unique footy signed by Narrandera’s own Cliff Lyons. This footy, decorated with Stew’s artwork, is a collaboration project between Stew and Cliff to rebrand Bennelong Energy Services.
The night kicks off at 5.30pm and includes:
Community Meat Tray Raffle: Tickets will be sold from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Prizes include four meat trays, four drink packs, a $50 Bidgee Hotel voucher Tickets: three for $5 or six for $10.
Live Music by Lisa Wilson will create a lively atmosphere.
“This fundraiser night is a special addition to our Community Meat Tray Raffle Nights, where we come together as a community to support those in need. It’s a wonderful opportunity to show your support for Grace and her family during this challenging time,” said Daniel, Venue Manager at Bidgee Hotel.
“We invite everyone to come out, enjoy the evening and contribute to a worthy cause.”
All funds raised from the Meat Tray Raffles will go directly to Grace Atkinson’s family to help cover their ongoing medical and travel expenses.
The Bidgee Hotel is grateful for the generosity of the local businesses and community members who have already pledged their support.
If any other local businesses would like to donate to this cause they should feel free to get in touch.
