TEDxMaldon shows Maldon to the world

Recent stories

In July 2023, Pam Ahern from Edgar’s Mission gave a TED talk at TEDxMaldon. The video has now been viewed by more than 500,000 people around the world. “TEDxMaldon shows Maldon to the world and brings the world to Maldon,” said TED Talk Organiser Paul Kooperman, who also brought TEDxWomen to Maldon last October.

Now another TEDxMaldon event is underway. Themed The Brave and the Brilliant, it’s being held on Saturday 4 May at Maldon Vintage Machinery and Museum.

TEDx, where x = independently organised, is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDx events are not for profit or payment. Speakers and organisers do not get paid. Like all TED events, TEDxMaldon aims to inspire and cultivate change for the better. Speakers on 4 May include some local and some from Melbourne, New South Wales and Tasmania.

  • Kaitlin Woolford – Victorian youth governor.
  • Christine Nixon – former Victorian police commissioner.
  • Katie Underwood – the original popstar.
  • Brian Nankervis – Rockwiz… with Jane Caro, Brad Hooper, Rosalie Hastwell, Nerrida Johnson, and Isis Jordan.

So, become a Maldon ambassador – spread the word and invite visitors to join you for TEDxMaldon.
